Hi, I would say that it depends on a number of factors such as what you are aiming to treat and the type of complementary therapy you are looking to try. That said, I feel that most ailments would benefit from some type of complementary medicine even if you decide to take an orthodox approach, mainly due to the fact that most complementary therapies place emphasis on healing the whole person and look at the disease as simply a messanger as opposed to the medical profession who merely attempt the cure of the physical body with little thought as to the underlying emotional, psychological or spiritual dis-harmony. Complementary medicine almost always demands changes from the client whether this is in their behaviour, attitude or diet and by making these changes clients are given a certain amount of control and ownership over their ailment rather than simply handing their body over to the medical profession and being done unto.
